Now & Then

NOW.

THEN.

When my Dad was very ill, in the final stages of Alzheimer's, I taped a photo of him, (taken when he was young, vibrant, and strikingly handsome) to his bed.  I wanted the nurses to understand exactly who they were treating.  Though his "body suit" was worn and old,  he was still the same person he had always been.

It is difficult to view a past generation as anything more than "old".
Truth is, there was a time when they lived, loved, raised a family, and were passionate about their life.

Let's remember to take a little time to look beneath the surface and really see the person within.
We have so much more in common than what we see at first glance.
Age is only a number, but one's spirit can be eternally young.
