The weather was cold and she had a beautiful
arrangement of candles in her fireplace.
The room was aglow and very seasonal.
I've done the same thing, but for some reason
her fireplace arrangement looked much better
than mine. The evening progressed and my
eyes were drawn again and again to the
beautiful fireplace filled with candles.
DUH!
Finally I saw what made the difference.
She had spray painted the inside of her fireplace
jet black which provided a beautiful backdrop
for the candles flames. She had used a spray
paint formulated for painting hot surfaces, ie
outdoor grills.
Today is the day.
I spray painted (Cough. Cough.) my fireplace
pit and it looks mah-ve-lous!!
Got the paint at good ol' Wallyworld.
Then I took regular (cheap) spray paint and painted
a curtain rod and all 14 of the curtain rings.
I've been needing to do that for a while.
It's amazing what can be accomplished with just
a bit of spray paint.
Spray Paint is my new favorite toy -
"Canned Fun"!.

behold all things are become new.”
