Road Work Ahead

Driving along the highway I passed this sign -

Bright orange in color, it was meant to grab my attention.
I took it to mean "slow down,
pay attention to surroundings, proceed with caution

and be ready to stop or pull over if necessary".
Obviously work was being done.

Paul once talked to Believers
about the "work ahead".
He said it this way:

Dear friends, you always followed my instructions
when I was with you. And now that I am away,
it is even more important.
Work hard to show the results of your salvation,
obeying God with deep reverence and fear.
For God is working in you,
giving you the desire and the power
to do what pleases him.
Phil 2:12,13 NLB

No bright orange sign but the meaning
is the same. God is continually
working in us and perhaps we need to
"slow down, pay attention to surroundings,
proceed with caution and be ready to stop
or pull over if necessary".

God is at work!
